Some of your favorite Ocean City servers are set to battle it out Tuesday, with the return of the “Cool Runnin’s Fastest Server on da Beach” contest. Tuesday will mark the 4th year of the contest, sponsored and held each year at Seacrets, located at 49th Street on the bay.

Servers will be put through the ringer once again this year, facing challenges of speed and agility, as they traverse the beach obstacle course while balancing a tray of drinks. Obstacles include tires, tables, kiddie pools and more. Servers compete one at a time, with the fastest time taking the victory.

Servers must be 21 or older and must be currently employed as a server in the area.

The first-place winner takes home more than just bragging rights, they will also receive a prize package worth $1000, along with a ticket for a chance to win $10,000 .

While the event is seen  as a fun way to bring local servers together for a little friendly competition, the larger mission is to raise funds for the Believe in Tomorrow Children’s Foundation. All proceeds from the $20 registration fee are donated to Believe in Tomorrow, a local housing program that provides a beach getaway for critically ill children and their families.

Registration begins at noon, Tuesday, July 23rd, with the competition kicking off at 1pm.
