If you’re a fat guy, you totally wanna always be looking down at the camera. I might print this and put it on my fridge…

What is that horrifying photo, you ask? That is yours truly participating in this new, deproved Todcast, broadcasting live on Google Hangouts. Because Todd and I have malleable jobs and responsibilities, a few months ago we elected to start doing the Happy Hour Todcast at 10 a.m. from home, rather than 5 p.m. from wherever we could get someone to tolerate us. More recently, increased professional commitments and snow forced us to start Todcasting remotely, using Google Hangouts. This week, we opened up the stream so people could watch the Todcast. It was a little distracting.

Fortunately, we know none of you were watching, because I accidentally invited everyone in my G+ circles and almost all, blessedly, declined. Keep an eye out, though, because over the next few weeks we hope to improve the process and possibly migrate the show to be more interactive.

On the heels of documenting the Starboard opening, Todd talked about the phenomenon of reminding people the difference between video and photography, which always is a pleasure. If you ever see old time-y man on the street film, us can see people having to be encouraged to move so to best make use of the new medium. almost 150 years later, people still have to be reminded they don’t have to stand still.

In addition to regaling the audience with the CSI Squirrel story, I got to speak about my new favorite web site: The Tripe Marketing Board. It is the real, unironic web site for the people who market cow stomachs for human consumption. I have eaten tripe and it is one of my favorites, but the front page stock photo of a white-robed family eating together is unnerving in the best possible way.

This week’s show also includes a bit of test screen sharing, which I’m sure is no fun to listen to and less fun to watch, but we promise we’ll get better as time goes on. It includes a brief show and tell of my background props, which might be something we elect to do more often.

There also is a better than average chance we’ll find a way to get you guys to participate.

You can follow Todd and Tony individually on Twitter, or collectively by subscribing to the Todcast on iTunes. If you can’t stand only getting 30 minutes of Tony’s dulcet tones, or you’re interested in home brewing, check out the Beer with Strangers podcast. If it’s his writing you can’t stand to be without, the No Relation blog is open 24/7.
