K-Coast Opens Art Contest To Area Students
OCEAN CITY — K-Coast Surf Shop recently announced its second annual Art Contest, which is open to local school children in grades fourth through eighth.
Schools currently planning to participate include Berlin Intermediate School, Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic School, Ocean City Elementary School, Showell Elementary School, Stephen Decatur Middle School and Worcester Preparatory School. Homeschooled children are encouraged to participate as well.
K-Coast is asking all participants to create an original artwork featuring themes of surfing, skateboarding, bodyboarding, or any other fun beach activates. The use of any medium is welcome (pencil, pen, paint, pastels, computer generated works, etc.) and all submissions must be at least 8.5 x 11 inches. Artwork must be submitted to K-Coast Surf Shop by Friday, April 26. Winners will be chosen on Wednesday, May 1.
The first place winner will receive a $50 K-Coast Gift Card and their work will be used as the cover for the K-Coast Summer Activity Book. Additionally, the work will be on display at K-Coast’s 35th Street location. Second and third place winners will receive $35 gift cards.
The K-Coast Summer Activity Book will be available for free at restaurants throughout the area.
