KOA Chincoteague Island to Host Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on May 24th, 2017
The management of KOA Chincoteague Island announced that the campground will host its official ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, May 24th at 10am. The ceremony will be held rain or shine and will include an open-house style tour of the new facilities. Complimentary coffee and pastries will be provided.
Cape Charles Vice Mayor Lawrence “Chris” Bannon will be in attendance. “We are honored that Vice Mayor Bannon will join us to celebrate the grand opening of KOA Chincoteague Island,” said Todd Burbage of Blue Water Development Corporation, property manager for the campground. “We had a great soft opening by participating in the 14th annual Care Camps Big Weekend earlier this month, and are excited to officially open our doors to the public to explore our beautiful island from our brand new, top of the line amenities that are sure to please both novice and seasoned campers.”
The campground, which recently underwent comprehensive renovations, offers more than 400 RV sites, deluxe cottages and tent sites across its 200 shady acres. Guests will enjoy themed weekends and family activities, free Wi-Fi, the Soggy Dollar Tiki Bar, a pool and much more.
