Workout Series Episode 2: Good Vibez
Everyone has probably heard that yoga is great for the soul. If you are trying to get into yoga and are hesitant to attend, the Good Vibez class at YogaVibez in West OC is perfect for beginners. We attended this class and were surprisingly impressed with how we did!
When you enter the studio the instructor usually has dim lighting in the room to calm your mood and mind from whatever stressors that are affecting you during the day or week. Yoga is a discipline focusing on areas of mind, body, and soul which gives you a chance to focus on you and only you, not worrying about anything else in that moment.
Good Vibez offers plenty of amazing breathing exercises throughout the class. Not only does this give you plenty of oxygen, but from our experience it relieves some stress and relaxes you. The class gives you the opportunity to strengthen your lower body, upper body, and core allowing you to move at your own pace. Some different moves and positions have different variations allowing you to be comfortable throughout the class — you’d be surprised of how much your body can move and bend! With every pose, you are building strength, maintaining your balance, and stretching your muscles making you more flexible. Note: you don’t have to be flexible to practice yoga; yoga actually builds your flexibility, so don’t be scared to try and experience this amazing class!
If you’re worried about not having proper form, the instructor calmly gives you instruction and assists you making sure you are posing properly. Our piece of advice for this class is to just try it!
